I procrastinated on taking a picture for our holiday cards. Here was my rationalization: We were getting a nice camera for our Christmas present to ourselves with a super Black Friday deal (Our tradition is that our holiday gift to each other is the one time a year we buy something big- one year it was our bedroom furniture set, one year a tv, another year it was our laptop, last year it was our Honda Pilot) and wouldn't our new Nikon take a much nicer picture that my good ol' point and shoot? Plus, I just couldn't decide on outfits. Sam and Anna are having their professional 9 month pictures later this month, and I didn't want to pay for expensive cards from there, when Shutterfly has an awesome freebie deal for bloggers. (My Shutterfly post is coming soon.)
Then Sam got pink eye and our pictures got pushed back even farther.
So now I'm panicking. I need to take the picture on the weekend so there is enough good light. I still don't know what to have them wear and I can't decide how to pose them or what props I should use. (Ideas welcome!) I've waited so long, anything I think is a viable option for clothing has been out of their sizes in stores.
I won't even mention that I haven't even figured out how to use our nice new camera to take the pictures....
Eeek! I'll tell you this though - I am going to feel pretty darn proud of myself if I pull it together and get cards done and out in time!

We, too, are behind. We're going with New Year's cards, and giving ourselves a break. Good luck!
Here's a quick and easy idea. Wrap an empty box with the top open. Put your kids in plain white shirts and sit them in the box in front of your Christmas tree and snap away. Makes the cutest Christmas card pic!
This is right around the time that I freak out that December is flying by each year. Somehow it all gets done though (although for the life of me I don't know how).
Good luck with the picture. My twin sister and I have a really cute pic of ourselves at that age one Christmas wearing nothing but a diaper and a little gold cross necklace. We are just sitting next to each other with a black background looking content . I always think it looks so simple but professinoal. Maybe that's an idea? They'll look cute no matter what I'm sure!
Ideas: Garland, unbreakable ornaments, sticky bows, christmas tree, decorations, christmas blankets, wreaths, wrapping paper...
Just throwing out a few ideas you could really do anything with! I love taking photos of Kennedy. I should upload more on here...
Don't worry about it - i decided to use photos from October! Since then either Dylan has had an eczema breakout, Riley has had one, or both have had something. We were going to take them to see Santa over the weekend and Riley got really sick. And her face broke out in a nasty rash. Again. I say use that cute pic you posted on FB today ;)
@#$%^&*(O)Pink EYE! Now Addison has it! So annoying!
Hope everything works out with the pictures. It's so hard to get the timing right on these things. We missed our 5 month with teddy because of the same kind of stuff.
Poor Sam. We didn't do any Christmas cards this year. We are horrible!!! Maybe next year! You still have time to get them out. :)
