Our family tradition of cutting down our Christmas tree, the first Sunday of December in photos. Our first tree that started the tradition had my engagement ring attached. I said yes and almost ten years later here we are as a family of 4 plus one dog. I can't remember a single year with no snow on the ground like this year, though!
Our largest tree yet, this one barely fit under our vaulted ceiling and required a ladder to place the star on top. No worries though- like last year, this tree is tied to the wall to avoid accidently crushing a toddler (or two). Sam and Anna are doing amazingly well with our tree. They love it, and I rarely even have to remind them not to touch and just look. I think this is thanks to the tree at daycare that has been up for over a week. Now instead of "Elmo!" being the first word out of Sam's mouth in the morning, it is "Tree!""Tree!" Witnessing the holidays through the eyes of a small child is truly fantastic.

Great pictures!
Beautiful pictures of going to get the tree! My sister lives in Milwaukee. They go somewhere in the middle of no where to cut down their own tree too. Love that tradition! :)
The duo looks overjoyed! Wonderful pics! :)
It looks wonderful!
