It IS Called a Jumper...
Sam and Anna love the Jumper trampoline they got for a Christmas present. The only thing is that they rarely use it to actually jump on. It has been used to pile things on, as a cave, as a zoo cage, as Santa's sleigh, for a table for lunch, for a bed, as a Handy Manny building project, and more. As long as they don't carry it around, try to jump both at the same time, or hurt each other with it, I don't mind and I let their imagination run wild. I think it is pretty entertaining when their imaginations do!

Wordless Wednesday- Swings
Sometimes
It is just more fun
When you can push your best friend
Instead of swinging at the same time!

Built In Best Friends For Life
Sometimes having twins is the best thing in the world.
Through life's ups...
and downs...
You know your children will always have someone by their side; a built in best friend for life!

Wordless Wednesday
Sometimes, you pick your battles with toddlers... and that may mean eating a meal wearing sunglasses.

Wordless Wednesday- Chopsticks
Sam and Anna's first chopsticks experience... but not their first sushi. Anna loves miso soup- she ate it all and didn't leave any for the rest of us!

Wordless Wednesday- Anna's impression
Anna's Nick Nolte impression
Curly hair makes some awesome bedhead. Poor girl just woke up after an almost 4 hour nap and was still a little groggy.
See the resemblance?
Or maybe she's just more in style than her mama.
A little more awake... but still rockin' the Nick Nolte 'do.

Wordless Wednesday
My almost 2 year old daughter wearing a 9-12 month onesie; a regular staple in her wardrobe
(Petite but healthy)
"Tell me about what you made, Sam."
" [It's] Daddy."
(That boy spent so much thought and effort to each part he added to his playdoh sculpture- he even added eyes and a mouth)

Wordless Wednesday
No gender bias for toys around here!
Anna loves moving the trains around the track, while Sam loves playing with the dollhouse. And I love that they don't see either activity as something only "boys" or "girls" do!

Wordless Wednesday- Traditions
Our family tradition of cutting down our Christmas tree, the first Sunday of December in photos. Our first tree that started the tradition had my engagement ring attached. I said yes and almost ten years later here we are as a family of 4 plus one dog. I can't remember a single year with no snow on the ground like this year, though!
Our largest tree yet, this one barely fit under our vaulted ceiling and required a ladder to place the star on top. No worries though- like last year, this tree is tied to the wall to avoid accidently crushing a toddler (or two). Sam and Anna are doing amazingly well with our tree. They love it, and I rarely even have to remind them not to touch and just look. I think this is thanks to the tree at daycare that has been up for over a week. Now instead of "Elmo!" being the first word out of Sam's mouth in the morning, it is "Tree!""Tree!" Witnessing the holidays through the eyes of a small child is truly fantastic.

Wordless Wednesday- Apple Picking
We have an apple tree in our yard, and this is actually the first year we've ever done something with the apples. Thanks to our banner crop, we've made lots and lots of applesauce, and still have more planned to make. Sam and Anna helped us pick apples this weekend.
Sam's newest frequent look- the glance over his shoulder with a grin, letting us know he's about to take off running (He had a ball throwing apples for our yellow lab apple-eating fiend and then chasing her)

Almost Wordless Wednesday
The rest of my top favorites from our 18 month photo session, as promised:
All 4 of us smiling nicely at the same time and looking at the camera? Miracle!
