Little Jokesters

Sam and Anna each have a great sense of humor... for toddlers.  Their favorite "joke" is to call someone by another person's name ("Daddy- Anna") and then laugh hysterically.  I can just tell what's going on in their heads- "Can you imagine, Daddy is really Anna?  Ha, ha, ha!"  We started this when looking at pictures a while ago while quizzing them on names, and I guess they thought it was so fun they continued it on.

The other day, Sam did his first typically boy/brotherly-love joke.  While we were eating supper, he said, "Anna's stinky!"  Then punctuated it with sincere laughter at his own joke.  For the record, no one had a dirty diaper.

Anna has mastered the social fake laugh too.  Whenever she wants to join in on whatever is funny, she'll laugh her fake laugh right along side you.  She'll also do her fake laugh when she thinks she's been clever and she wants you to laugh at her cleverness (Like when she realized the slanted edge of the tub was slide-able last night during bath time, and she kept sliding down it over and over and over.)

Toddlers are hilarious and their laughter is infectious.  I love it all!

Also... I cannot believe they will be 2 years old next week.  Just unbelievable.

K has started telling me that she cried on Santa's lap at Christmas because Santa farted. And was stinky. I have no idea where she got this from, but it's pretty funny.
Wonder when I'll have to teach her the difference between a made up story and a lie?
