I cried while watching a holiday Christmas commercial.
I got misty-eyed while listening to Silent Night on the radio in my car.
When I'm really overtired and I don't get a nap after school I end up crying.
And I've turned into a patience-less crazed kindergarten teacher who cannot wait, like never before, until school is over for the rest of this year (yes, I mean 2009- but it sounds better that way, doesn't it?). My poor students have unfortunately borne the wrath of this crazed kindergarten teacher an embarrassing amount lately.
Yesterday a somewhat regular substitute in our school saw me for the first time and exchanged the usual, "Oh! You're pregnant! What are you having?"conversation. She had true shock on her face when I told her a boy and a girl. I needed to tell her that yes, I am sure it is twins. Then she followed up her comments with, "I'm glad it's you and not me!" (Which, for the record, is the first time someone said that to me. Personally I think that's really rude to say!) I couldn't help it- pregnancy hormones and all- and replied: "I'm glad it's me and not you, too."

I am never quite sure what to say when people say that.... But you can be assured that next time I am going to use your line!
Great reply. That's the kind of reply I think of after the situation is over and wish I had said it! Good for you. And cry away...you've earned that right!
