Mother-In-Law Visit

Shopping.

A massage.

Dinner out with a friend.

Garage-saling.

Above is a sampling of some of the things I got to do this week while my mother-in-law visited. It was great to be able to get out of the house and do some fun things by myself this week. I did hope that while I was home she would take care of the babies more so I could get stuff done around the house too- like cleaning, organizing, filling out the damn baby books, etc. But I still ended up being the primary baby caretaker the entire time she was here and so nothing extra got done at home this week. Hey- I'll take what I can get though.

Sam and Anna are eating better, but still napping like crap. It's awfully hard to get anything done when one baby is always awake and more often than not, the second one wakes up just when the first finally falls asleep. I would be fine with the short naps if it didn't create overtired babies, but it's very evident that they need more during a napping period than they are getting.

Tomorrow we have our first professional pictures! I had wanted to get newborn shots, but it was just too crazy to accomplish that. So instead we are doing three month photos. I hope it all goes well and we get some good ones! I can't wait to share them!

So happy you got to go out!! And can I say I'm jealous? I want to go G-sailing so badly... too bad the weather stinks and the sales are late this year... And even MORE jealous of the massage :) You deserve it!

Josh's parents are coming back at the end of July. We are taking every advantage of them being here ;)

Katie,
So glad you got some time to at least pamper yourself a little bit - even if you didn't get everything done around the house that you would have wanted to.
I hope the pictures turn out well. I am sure they will!

Don't worry about the house stuff...I swear I think about taking a picture of all the clutter that comes along with taking care of two babies!

Can't wait to see pictures!

Man I want to go to garage sales as well!!! But the thought of pulling out the stroller at each stop sounds awful!! (though I would have some pretty muscular arms!) Lucky duck!! :o)

Glad you got some mommy time!! We didn't do the newborn photos either...its too hard to get out of the house in the beginning!! :o)

Great to hear you got to enjoy some adult activities, even if you didn't get to the house stuff. Hope the pictures turn out well and can't wait to see them! I bet you will have a hard time picking some out!

I've got a question for ya!

I know you said that the co-sleeper was a waste of money. I'm wondering if you started your twins off in the crib? Or are they in some kind of basinet or pac n play in your room?
