How we spent the Big First Birthday:
Whole wheat pancakes for breakfast, complete with candle
Sam wasn't impressed- he just wanted to eat.
Wrestling with Dad
Then we took our last picky sticky photos
We opened presents from Mom and Dad
Then we headed to the Children's Museum after lunch
We went to a local cupcakerie and picked out special birthday cupcakes
Anna wasn't too thrilled.
This is Sam's blissed-out face. If he could have shoved in the whole thing at once, he would have.

Such a sweet day for you and your family. I have enjoyed your blog for almost the last year--I have twins nearly exactly the same age and it's been so much fun to follow Sam and Anna's progress. It looks like the first birthday was a wonderful celebration for all of you--a well-deserved one. Wishing you many more birthdays as sweet as that one.
