Ack! This Time Next Week...

... My babies will be ONE.

Tonight I couldn't help reminiscing about our life a year ago from now. Looking through pictures on the computer, I can't believe how BIG I was and how little they were! I am amazed I fit behind the steering wheel and I am surprised we didn't break any of their fragile teeny bones.

How on earth did I get from this:

(Seriously, even these pics really don't do the 70 lb gain justice. They also maintained residence in the belly for over a week after these pictures, until forcefully evicted. Please consider yourself privileged to view the never-shown-before 36 week bare belly photo. I had dropped big time. It looks smaller than it really was. )

...back into my old work pants and jeans???

How on earth did Sam and Anna get from these skinny-minnie babies at one week old:

...into these almost toddlers?

(The Picky Sticky stickers from both shots are the same size. Really.)

This turning-one-year-old stuff is harder than I thought. I thought I'd be eagerly awaiting their first birthday with all that Yeah! We made it through a year! mojo, but I'm all woe is me, I want to keep my babies babies forever instead.

Hard to believe it has gone so fast! We are having a "The year is done, the twins are 1" party!! But when you get to #4+5 it is slightly different! :)

It completely flew by for me and I'm not even their mother so I can only imagine how you feel! You've done a fantastic job at being a twin momma, which is no easy task. Soon enough, you're gonna be a twin TODDLER momma! Crazy!!

Yeah, I'm with you on this. I just can't believe it's almost been a year. It's amazing how, in that amount of time, they go from teeny, tiny little things to independent, moving about babies with personalities. Just crazy!

That's so sad! I can't believe they were that small! Sweet babies!

Wow! That is some belly! It's so weird looking back eh? The big bellies don't even look natural.

They were so teeny and skinny!! I can't believe the stickers are the same size!

I don't consider babies to be toddlers until they're really walking (ie. toddling). And even then, I think they're still babies for awhile:) So try not to feel too, too sad. They're still your little babies:) At least they're not in 18 and 24 month clothing yet!

I can't fathom how time has flown by! I still remember prep'ing for IVF as if it was yesterday. And here we are - aah, the memories.

At the same time, I am so excited to see them discover new things... Pop their new personas everyday. Its sad and exciting at the same time!

Awwwww, Mama. It is hard to say goodbye to the baby stage. I agree---they stay babies until they are walking. It makes it a little easier that way.

I just have one baby left :(

You've made it! The hardest part is over! Wahoo! Great job! You rock!

I hear ya girl!! My twins are right behind yours.

How on earth has a year gone by so quickly??? And are they all going to go by so quickly???

But, in the same breath, I can't believe how much more fun they get every single day =).

And seriously...you are back in your size 4 work pants????? I don't know if we can be friends anymore...(grin) JEALOUS over here!!!!

Isn't it crazy what our bodies can do? I look back at my pregnancy pictures and I just can't believe I did that. It's all gone so quickly!

And YES, I look at pictures of my girls when they were born and I now understand just how teeny they were.

What an adventure!

BTW, hope you're doing well. I think of you every time I hear news of what is going on in Wisconsin.

Catching up on old posts...

I'm kind of wondering how your nap situation is going?

Our girls' cribs aren't next to one another and they still chat in the morning. Sometimes it's endearing, and other times - not so much. :)
